Dead people. [Dec. 9th, 2004|04:32 pm]
[mood | bouncy]
[music |Nattefrost - Sluts Of Hell]

So I got a phone call this morning from Christian telling me that Dimebag from Damageplan/Pantera was dead. Shot by a crazy person onstage. So now I never get to see Pantera songs performed live. Bummer.

What made me excited was the fact that I could watch the news report on my laptop, thanks to the fact that I have Broadband internet in my house! W00T!!

More info on my lovely presentation group (presentation done and aced btw.) Jackie, the Canadian one keeps getting cooler. As I had no money, she bought me a bunch of drinks at the SU bar as we discussed drugs, britpop, and being small towners. Micheala was there too, and we're doing our best to uncover the party animal behind her Soviet straight lacedness. We're all gonna go to the Rhino club in Southampton next month. Gonna be a weird trip.

Ohhhhh...been a while. [Dec. 7th, 2004|10:24 pm]
[mood | drunk]
[music |Sludge - That song on the terrorizer comp.]

Well, its been a few days!

Spent the weekend in London/Epsom with the Goif, and had a great time. Proper culture too! We went to a weird/subversive art exhibition - Santas Ghetto - featuring art from Chris Cunningham, Banksy, the dude who did Gorrilaz, the dude from Tank Girl, etc. Felt very cultured and cool.

Do other small towners get this? If you go to a weird arty/music/thing thing in a big city - do you feel all cultured and cool? Like you rise above your small towner roots and are now a big city kewlkid?

Anyway, that was Saturday.

Thursday (get my temporal jumping.) Involved me and Matt going to live comedy and then Molokos - a local townie type vodka bar, and dance with art students dressed as pirates and mermaids. I stole a candle. It was 'one of those nights' where it all seems a bit weird. And, really, is.

Anyway, spent the rest of the weekend with the Goif, which was sexy and cool. Saw Napoleon Dynamite, and The Incredibles, both of which were kickass.

Anyway, Monday involved a presentation in American Gothic, which I was totally not preped for, however I blagged the fucker, thanks to my dorky knowledge of comic books. Geek rules!!

And managed to get the second highest grade in my class in my essay despite being a year behind everyone. This says more about the retardedness of my uni than my own brain powers.

Today, I am drunk. I should have spent time sorting out a presentation for tomorrow, but instead got pissed in the SU bar. Not on my money.

I ran out of money. Proper ran out.

I'm Fucked.

Proper Fucked.

I can use simple tools like my ancestors [Dec. 2nd, 2004|02:47 pm]
[mood | good]

Me and the housemates successfully installed a washing machine last night. We used several tools and everything. Even went to the neighbors to borrow a larger wrench. How cool is that?! We did something that according to the instructions, 'should only be attempted by trained professionals.' Fucking rock! Feeling quite proud.

Me and G then spent the evening watching Enter the Dragon and doing Kung Pow stylee voice over. Stupid funny.

Spent the morning almost finishing off the website project for Uni, but got distracted. By LJ. Curse you!

Joy! And mind numbing boredom. [Dec. 1st, 2004|12:13 pm]
[mood | bouncy]

Joy! - People replying to my posts! Praise be to you!
Signing up for broadband! Woot!
Getting thursday night off work so I can go to comedy!
My media presentation group getting cooler by the day. (Both mature students, both lovely ladies. One from the Czech Republic who declared afternoon sex to be 'the best.' The other is canadian and has seen Gwar. Gwar!! How cool!?

Blah. - Presentations in general.
Incredibly dull lectures on TV in Nigeria. (I spent my time drawing a zombie. Rock.)

Also good news. May well be taking a three week trip across Europe by car in the summer, eventualyy ending up at Wacken festival. Anyone got any suggestions of places to visit?

Tuesday involves beer. [Nov. 30th, 2004|04:24 pm]
[mood | drunk]

Despite doing a miniscule amount of work I feel kind of proud of myself. I bought an adaptor so I can get the net at home, I borrowed a digital camera for website based work, I did some presentation research, and I drank four bottles of Coors beer. And ate a burger. Yay healthy lifestyle. During the beer drinking, myself and drinking buddy Matt came up with a weird senario involving Arnie breaking up an ileagle condom producing syndicate that featured Ahnold zingers printed on the said contriception, using a flamethrower, with the line 'Time to burn rubber!' Weird? Are we?

It begins...*ominous rumble*...again! [Nov. 29th, 2004|05:17 pm]
Ok. This time I will do it properly. No more half arsed attempts at this thing. I know what LJ can do to people and it is good. All good. And I want in. Not just cos all the cool kids do it, (although that is some of it) but because it seems like fun. (and not cos it helps me put off doing any real work for a while.)
